For many people, winter holidays mean a time of extra cheer. And to do away with euphemisms, by "cheer", we mean "alcohol". Be it a cup of mulled wine or eggnog to ward off the cold or a champagne toast at midnight on New Year's Eve, many of us have traditional drinks that we only drink this time of year. Far be it from us, however, to leave any tradition unexamined.

Anne Sauer is Mad Art Lab's resident mixologist, and she has a passion for science communication. For the last several years, she's been combining her interests by teaching audiences about the science behind the drinks they're about to try. This Sunday, we'll be talking with her about what we drink this time of year, why, and what we ought to know about our drinks. Join us!
