Jen Hancock has worked for several years to make Humanism as accessible as atheism has been made in the last decade. She served as executive director of Humanists of Florida Association for several years, and she's spent her time since then writing books about the philosophy with which she was raised. One of her recent books is Jen Hancock's Handy Humanism Handbook. From the author's statement on the book:
Humanism is one of the most influential and yet most maligned philosophies of all time. Unfortunately, most people don’t know anything about it. To make matters worse, there are a lot of people who are already Humanists and just don’t know it yet because no one has ever taken the time to properly introduce them to the philosophy.
I intend to change that with this book. Consider yourself introduced.
Scott Lohman will speak to Jen this Sunday about her book.
