Matthew advocates for church-state separation and humanist values in public policy to public officials. He also serves as the editor of the American Humanist Association's quarterly membership publication Free Mind and is a regular contributor at TheHumanist.com. Matthew graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the American University in Washington, DC and is the co-founder and former president of the American University Rationalists and Atheists.
