On Sunday we will be joined by Mitchell Stephens, author of the book, Imagine There's No Heaven: How Atheism Helped Create the Modern World.

Mitchell Stephens is a journalist and reporter, as well as a professor in New York University's Journalism Institute. His work includes the best-selling book "A History of News", and contributions to The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, The Washington Post, The Columbia Journalism Review, and recently to National Public Radio's Marketplace series.

Mitchell Stephens has been studying the history of atheism for a decade, and Imagine There's No Heaven is the story of the contributions and achievements made my non-believers from classical Greece to the 21st century. Not only are these advancements put forth by those who simply happen to be non-believers; Imagine There's No Heaven highlights those advancements that have been made when the precepts and principles of the church have been questioned and challenged.
